What is the registration fee and what does this include?
The registration fee is $75 for one or all meats.
Where do the proceeds go for this event?
A portion of the proceeds from this cook-off will be donated to the American Cancer Society.
Are campers allowed?
Yes. There is plenty of space for RVs/Campers, no hookups.
How many cook teams will be allowed?
There is no maximum number of teams allowed to enter.
Who is the BBQ Cook-Off Sanctioned by?
The Lone Star Barbecue Society will be sanctioning the cook-off. You may visit their webpage for all LSBS official rules.
What meats will be prepared?
½ Chicken, Pork Spare Ribs, and Brisket
Do I have to enter in all 3 categories?
NO. You do not have to cook all three categories, however the entry fee is the same for one or all meats.
Are there places for cook teams to get food?
Yes. Hog Creek Icehouse has a full service restaurant and bar. Kitchen closes at 10PM. Hog Creek Icehouse will be having a breakfast buffet on Saturday from 7 AM- 9AM.
Will there be any events prior to cook-off?
Yes. Friday night there will be a Wings Cook-off. Entry Fee $15. Wings are provided by Tyson. Turn in will be at 8 PM. The Hog Creek Icehouse will also be providing Live Entertainment.
What events take place on Saturday?
There will be a breakfast buffet 7 AM- 9 AM at Hog Creek Icehouse. Barbecue Cook-off. Lone Star Motor Racing Association will be hosting Professional Lawn Mower Racing immediately following the barbecue awards. There will be an $8.00 gate fee for all 12 years and up.
